活動簡介
日前科學科舉辦了精彩的「英語科學探究活動」！鄧老師和李老師在小息時，帶領同學把天氣「帶」進學校。低年級學生利用水瓶製作神奇的「迷你氣流」(Tiny Whoosh)。同學將水瓶快速旋轉時，會產生向心力，讓水流形成一個漩渦（像龍捲風）。此時漩渦中心會形成一條中空的空氣通道，讓瓶底的空氣能順暢地向上流動，水就能順著瓶壁快速流下，形成神奇的「迷你旋風」效果。
同學們透過動手做實驗，玩得非常投入，既學到科學知識又提升了英語信心，獲益良多！

The students enjoyed themselves immensely! It was wonderful to see their eyes light up with curiosity. This activity proved that learning English doesn’t have to be limited to textbooks. By integrating science experiments, students were able to use English in a natural, real-world setting and boost their confidence. Whether they were swirling water bottles to create a “tiny whoosh” vortex or simulating miniature rainstorms inside Starbucks cups, everyone loved exploring weather phenomena firsthand. They enthusiastically collaborated with their peers, unlocking their scientific potential while expanding their everyday vocabulary. Seeing them laugh, question, and chat completely in English during the experiments was truly rewarding. We are incredibly proud of our young Pui To scientists and look forward to hosting more interactive learning adventures soon!
